After 18 years the first blue flower!
In may 2008 Mauro Peixoto sent a collection of neomarica seeds whereby there was Neomarica fluminensis. Four seedlings came up until the end of september. (Unfortunately afterwards the sowing box fell down to the ground together with soil, seeds and stickers so that younger plants have to be kept as "unknown")
N. fluminensis grows fast with light green, narrow but long leaves. On the left side you see a plant of 2 years with a coffee cup in order to compare its length. Already when very young N. fluminensis needed more watering than other Neomarica's.
